| PRIINT-1262 | Copy Shiro session along with Session Info - 4.6 only | Our stack starting with version 4.6 uses so-called transitive-sessions when working with process instances in BPM. This means that although our rendering-server (PDFR or IDS) uses a technical account to communicate with the Pubserver, it passes a sessionId of a user's session so that actions can be conducted on their behalf. Although this solves a few problems like access rights managemet, there are a few problems with this approach. The first one being that all changes to user's session that happen between the start of the process and its execution, will be reflected in what the process does. Language changes and session logouts affect such work. What this change introduces are session copies that get passed to each process instance instead of the original session. That way we decouple the behavior of the process instance from the original session while maintaining the access checks a regular user session would need to go through. Those session copies either expire themselves (after 10 hours) or get cleaned up as the process concludes assuming a notification is sent to the Pubserver on process end. |
